This is one of the first documents to express Texan grievances against Mexican President Santa Anna. It lists eight complaints that range from Santa Anna's creation of a dictatorship to turning in their weapons. Though it had no effect on the situation at the time, it lead to later meetings that culminated with the Constitutional Convention of 1836 where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed.
