Apothecary set

19th century

A compact apothecary set like this was a greatly needed asset for a doctor who traveled to tend to his patients. The walnut box contains fold-out doors and a main unit with holding capacity for small medicine-filled bottles, balance scale, mortar and pestle, and mixing jar.
